THE FEIN FAMILY
Stewards of the Court of Two Sisters
Joe Fein Jr. acquired the property in 1963 and initiated efforts to protect its architectural character. His approach emphasized the importance of maintaining the building’s historical features while adapting it for contemporary use. This balance established a foundation for the restaurant’s long term success.

Subsequent generations of the Fein family have continued this work. They have preserved the courtyard, interior dining spaces, and defining architectural elements while ensuring that operations meet modern standards. Their leadership has allowed the property to remain relevant without compromising its historical integrity.
The Court of Two Sisters continues to operate under the ownership of the Fein family, whose stewardship has shaped its modern identity. Their work has maintained the property as both a historic landmark and an active dining establishment within the French Quarter. The restaurant reflects a continuity of purpose rooted in preservation and hospitality.

The family has also reinforced the restaurant’s association with New Orleans culture through its culinary and musical traditions. Live jazz performance and Creole cuisine remain central to the guest experience. These elements connect the present operation to the broader cultural history of the city.
